An Effective Criminal Conviction is not a Bar to Obtaining an Occupational License

Many jobs need a background check. Every person may be denied a job because of their criminal background.

In Iran's penal code, ''criminal conviction'' does not hinder the issuance of an occupational license. In this code even ''effective criminal conviction'' does not prevent it from being issued. So conviction of felony cannot, by itself, prevent a person from receiving an occupational license in Iran.
